BACCARAT RULES
DownloadBaccarat is a popular casino card game made infamous by the likes of James Bond. The goal of the game is to create a hand with a point value as close to 9 as possible. It is a game of both luck and skill (especially in terms of placing bets).
Baccarat Points
Cards are valued as follows:
- Ace = 1 point
- 10s and face cards = 0 points
- 2-9 = their face value
*Scoring is a bit different than most card games. If your hand’s valued at a two-digit number, simply disregard the first digit and assess your points based on the last digit alone. So for example if you have a hand that adds up to 13, you have 3 points, while a hand that totals 10 has a point value of 0.
Baccarat Wagering:
You can bet on your own hand, the banker’s hand or a tie. Once you’ve placed your wager you and the dealer are each dealt two cards.
Occasionally, a third card is dealt and the hand is played according to what is called the Third Card Rule which dictates when both the player and/or banker must draw an additional card or stand.
Payouts:
A winning player bet pays 2:1
A winning banker bet pays 2:1
A winning tie bet pays 9:1 (in the event of a tie, all non-tie bets are restored)
