The rules

For those who often play blackjack and are familiar with it, a detailed game explanation wouldn’t be necessary and our assumption is that everybody that plays live blackjack will know what the basic rules of the game are: the idea is to collect cards that total more points than the dealer, without exceeding the number of 21. Cards of rank 2 through 10 are valued according to their face value. All face cards are worth 10, Aces can be worth both 1 and 11.

Nevertheless, we will briefly discuss the overall gameplay of Quantum Blackjack as there are also some differences in comparison with standard blackjack that you will need to know.

Quantum Cards

The Quantum Blackjack game rules are broadly the same as the regular blackjack rules, but with a few significant exceptions. The first exception is the Quantum cards: a maximum of three game cards will be assigned to a multiplier of at least 3x and a maximum of 10x. These cards are randomly chosen after the bets are placed and before the cards are dealt.

This multiplier in this case replaces the regular payout. Where you normally earn 2x your bet with a winning hand, you get at least 3x your bet with a multiplier card. To get to that value, you clearly still need to win the hand. An additionally interesting option is combining cards and multipliers. If you know how to use two multipliers in your hand, then you can combine them as well. That way, you can make up to a 1,000x multiplier (with three cards worth 10x).

Dealer exceeding 21

Another characteristic with which Quantum Blackjack differs from the main variant is when the dealer exceeds 21 points. If the dealer gets too many points with three cards, it counts as a tie, making sure you get your bet back, instead of winning. As a player you have to keep your fingers crossed that you either get more points than the dealer or that the dealer uses at least four cards. There is an exception here: you still win with a multiplier card.

How to win

Quantum Blackjack is nothing but a (highly interesting) variant of the normal blackjack game, meaning you can stick to your normal strategy in most situations. Therefore, make sure to find a strategy that you think you can master and stick to it for a while to see whether you can adapt it to your personal preferences — but only of course after a lot of practice.

  1. Look up a strategy and stick to it: although some players would say blackjack is fully based on random results, others claim blackjack strategies do make a difference. Our advice would be to see for yourself whatever works best.
  2. Get your bonus: on our website you’ll find the best casino bonuses available and these include live dealer casinos. Bonuses are a perfect way to get the best Return on Investment and lower your risk as much as possible. This is especially very convenient for less skilled players as the demo mode isn’t available for live games.
  3. Don’t split a 10: and don’t split two fives either. The chances of getting a 10 is always bigger than any other combination, so always be prepared.
  4. 11 points? Double down: with the Ace giving you some flexible options as it can be worth both 1 and 11, doubling down gives you a good chance to improve your hand.
  5. Split with a pair with 8’s or aces: if your first two cards are either two eights or two aces, then we would strongly recommend you to split in this scenario.
  6. Know when to raise: always increase your bet when you’re on a winning streak (three wins in a row) and lower your stake as soon as you lose.
  7. Know when to stop: you should always work with a predetermined budget. Even before your next Quantum Blackjack session you should set a target and stop when you reach it. The same holds for setting a maximum loss. Know when to quit.

Quantum Blackjack remains a variant of the well-known blackjack game which shouldn’t lead to a lot of difficulties. Since there is already a very high payout percentage for this variant, there are no additional tips or tricks to increase the chances of winning even more. While playing, use the strategy you find on the internet and stick to it for a while, making sure you can properly assess every situation. This way knowledge and skills will make a difference in the long run. Those who like to be tempted by bigger payouts will love this game as a maximum bet of $100 and a maximum payout of 1,000x the bet is actually major!

How to play

Learning how to play Quantum Blackjack isn’t very complicated if you know how to play the standard blackjack game. It may be a little bit confusing in the beginning, but once you get how it works, you’ll see there are really not that many differences with regular blackjack. Quantum Blackjack is played at a standard blackjack table and the Quantum Blackjack

studio looks absolutely amazing with its subtle neon lights. Quantum physics it is!

Go to the live casino

To play Quantum Blackjack you will first need an account at the online casino of your preference. Signing up for an account is free after which you will have to deposit a (small) amount to be able to play in the live casino. If you’re new to the game we advise you to only play with a small budget first until you fully understand how the game works. For this game you will need to make minimum stakes of $5 and the maximum bet is set at $100. This can differ depending on your casino, but most operators should work with these numbers.

The setup of Quantum Blackjack

In the middle of your screen you see three circles: Bet, 21+3 and Perfect Pair. Below that, you will find some buttons that allow you to perform various actions like undoing a bet or repeating the previous bet. At the bottom right you see 6 Blackjack chips, with which you determine the amount of the bet. Curious about the maximum amount you can win with Quantum Blackjack? At the top right of the screen you can find the paytable.

Time to bet

You have 15 seconds each round to place your bets. This concerns both the normal bet plus the two side bets (21+3 and Perfect Pair). It is obviously entirely up to you to decide what you want to do. After the bet has been approved, the game can really begin.

The Multiplier Round

With a multiplier you have a chance to win even higher amounts. A multiplier is linked to a specific card, for example a Hearts 7. Did the dealer hand out this card and does it belong to the winning hand you have made your bet on? Then we believe it’s time to congratulate you with your mega win. This is often a win with somewhere between 1 and 3 multipliers, but the exact number differs per round.

Hit, Stand, Double Down or Split

After you have placed a bet and the multipliers are announced, the cards are dealt by Playtech’s live dealer. As live games show you what happens at the table, you can speed up your decision making whenever the dealer stops dealing the cards. You’ll only have 10 seconds to choose from either Double Down (yellow), Stand (red), Hit (green) or Split (blue). Splitting is only an option if you have two of the same cards. Not sure what to choose, or do you think 10 seconds is too short to make a decision about your next move? Then use a Blackjack chart.

Who wins?

Have you reached 21 points or are at least you closer than the dealer? Good job! Your win will be shown instantly. The exact win can be very high, especially if you manage to make a win with a multiplier card. Do you dare to play another round? Then wait a few seconds until a new game starts. If you prefer to withdraw the winnings, now is the time to do so.

The features

Following the popular Lightning Roulette, several other live casino games have come onto the market where multipliers play an important role. Playtech has already launched a roulette version with multipliers, Quantum Roulette, but is also the first developer to release a blackjack game that works with them as well. In Quantum Blackjack you play the classic card game with the chance of a 1,000x multiplier, in a studio with the same atmosphere as Quantum Roulette. The game’s streaming quality is excellent, as expected from a developer with this track-record. This means you can enjoy Full HD video quality and amazing images. The friendly dealers keep the game exciting by chatting with players, but always staying professional. Quantum Blackjack is definitely a game that knows how to distinguish itself.

RTP

The payout percentage of Quantum Blackjack varies between 95.9% and 99.47%, which is actually even better than with other blackjack game variants. Still, it doesn’t feel like a game with a very high payout percentage when playing. This is because Playtech compensates for the multiplier offered to players, when the dealer doubles down with three cards. Therefore: to get the maximum out of the payout, you really have to rely on the multipliers. You will have to play for a longer period of time to achieve the game’s maximum payout percentage. For a full understanding of the game’s payout percentage in different situations, we have broken down the Return to Player according to the betting options:

  • The RTP without side bets is 99.47%.
  • If you bet on pairs as side bets, the payout percentage drops to 95.9%.
  • On the 21+3 bet, the payout percentage is 96.3%.
